Laavaa - The Marriage Ceremony

ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

ਸੂਹੀ ਚੌਥੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ।

Soohee, Fourth Mehla:

ਹਰਿ ਪਹਿਲੜੀ ਲਾਵ ਪਰਵਿਰਤੀ ਕਰਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥

har pahilaRee laav paraviratee karam dhiraRaiaa bal raam jeeau ||

ਹੇ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ । (ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਦੇ ਆਹਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੁੱਝਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ (ਤਾਕੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ) । ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ) ਪਹਿਲੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲਾਂਵ ।

In the first round of the marriage ceremony, the Lord sets out His Instructions for performing the daily duties of married life.

ਬਾਣੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਵੇਦੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਹੁ ਪਾਪ ਤਜਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੀ (ਸਿੱਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦਾ ਵੇਦ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ) ਧਰਮ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰੋ (ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ ਸਾਰੇ) ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।

Instead of the hymns of the Vedas to Brahma, embrace the righteous conduct of Dharma, and renounce sinful actions.

ਧਰਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ॥

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਰਹੋ, (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਇਹ) ਧਰਮ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ । ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਕੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ (ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼) ਹੈ ।

Meditate on the Lord's Name; embrace and enshrine the contemplative remembrance of the Naam.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਹੁ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥

satigur gur pooraa aaraadhahu sabh kilavikh paap gavaiaa ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ (ਦੇ ਇਸ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ) ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੋ, ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਵਿਕਾਰ (ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ

Worship and adore the Guru, the Perfect True Guru, and all your sins shall be dispelled.

ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਹੋਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਇਆ ॥

sahaj ana(n)dh hoaa vaddabhaagee man har har meeThaa laiaa ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।

By great good fortune, celestial bliss is attained, and the Lord, Har, Har, seems sweet to the mind.

ਜਨੁ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਲਾਵ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਆਰੰਭੁ ਕਾਜੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

jan kahai naanak laav pahilee aara(n)bh kaaj rachaiaa ||1||

ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ—ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਲਾਂਵ ਹੈ । ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ) ਵਿਆਹ (ਦਾ) ਮੁੱਢ ਬੱਝਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।

Servant Nanak proclaims that, in this, the first round of the marriage ceremony, the marriage ceremony has begun. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਦੂਜੜੀ ਲਾਵ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥

har dhoojaRee laav satigur purakh milaiaa bal raam jeeau ||

ਹੇ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ । (ਤੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

In the second round of the marriage ceremony, the Lord leads you to meet the True Guru, the Primal Being.

ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭੈ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥

nirabhau bhai man hoi haumai mail gavaiaa bal raam jeeau ||

ਮਨ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ—ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ) ਦੂਜੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲਾਂਵ ।

With the Fear of God, the Fearless Lord in the mind, the filth of egotism is eradicated.

ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਭਉ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਹਦੂਰੇ ॥

niramal bhau paiaa har gun gaiaa har vekhai raam hadhoore ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਕਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖਦੀ ਹੈ ।

In the Fear of God, the Immaculate Lord, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and behold the Lord's Presence before you.

ਹਰਿ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਆ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਬ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥

har aatam raam pasaariaa suaamee sarab rahiaa bharapoore ||

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪੇ ਦਾ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਪਸਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।

The Lord, the Supreme Soul, is the Lord and Master of the Universe; He is pervading and permeating everywhere, fully filling all spaces.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਮੰਗਲ ਗਾਏ ॥

a(n)tar baahar har prabh eko mil har jan ma(n)gal gaae ||

ਅੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ (ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ), ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।

Deep within, and outside as well, there is only the One Lord God. Meeting together, the humble servants of the Lord sing the songs of joy.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੂਜੀ ਲਾਵ ਚਲਾਈ ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦ ਵਜਾਏ ॥੨॥

jan naanak dhoojee laav chalaiee anahadh sabadh vajaae ||2||

ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਦੂਜੀ ਲਾਂਵ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ) ਤੋਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।

Servant Nanak proclaims that, in this, the second round of the marriage ceremony, the unstruck sound current of the Shabad resounds. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਤੀਜੜੀ ਲਾਵ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ਭਇਆ ਬੈਰਾਗੀਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥

har teejaRee laav man chaau bhiaa bairaageeaa bal raam jeeau ||

ਹੇ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ । (ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ) ਵੈਰਾਗਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਤੇਰੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਲਈ) ਤਾਂਘ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ,ਤੀਜੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲਾਂਵ ਹੈ ।

In the third round of the marriage ceremony, the mind is filled with Divine Love.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥

sa(n)t janaa har mel har paiaa vaddabhaageeaa bal raam jeeau ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮੇਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ) ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,

Meeting with the humble Saints of the Lord, I have found the Lord, by great good fortune.

ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲੀ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

niramal har paiaa har gun gaiaa mukh bolee har baanee ||

ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।

I have found the Immaculate Lord, and I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. I speak the Word of the Lord's Bani.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਕਥੀਐ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ॥

sa(n)t janaa vaddabhaagee paiaa har katheeaai akath kahaanee ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਅਕੱਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,

By great good fortune, I have found the humble Saints, and I speak the Unspoken Speech of the Lord.

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧੁਨਿ ਉਪਜੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥

hiradhai har har har dhun upajee har japeeaai masatak bhaag jeeau ||

ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਰੌ ਚੱਲ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ) ਜਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ ।

The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, vibrates and resounds within my heart; meditating on the Lord, I have realized the destiny inscribed upon my forehead.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਤੀਜੀ ਲਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਉਪਜੈ ਮਨਿ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

jan naanak bole teejee laavai har upajai man bairaag jeeau ||3||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੀਜੀ ਲਾਂਵ ਸਮੇ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ) ਤੀਬਰ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।੩।

Servant Nanak proclaims that, in this, the third round of the marriage ceremony, the mind is filled with Divine Love for the Lord. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਚਉਥੜੀ ਲਾਵ ਮਨਿ ਸਹਜੁ ਭਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥

har chauthaRee laav man sahaj bhiaa har paiaa bal raam jeeau ||

ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਰਾਮ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ । (ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,

In the fourth round of the marriage ceremony, my mind has become peaceful; I have found the Lord.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥

gurmukh miliaa subhai har man tan meeThaa laiaa bal raam jeeau ||

ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਇਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ) ਚੌਥੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲਾਂਵ ਹੈ ।

As Gurmukh, I have met Him, with intuitive ease; the Lord seems so sweet to my mind and body.

ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਇਆ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥

har meeThaa laiaa mere prabh bhaiaa anadhin har liv laiee ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕ ਕੇ, ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।

The Lord seems so sweet; I am pleasing to my God. Night and day, I lovingly focus my consciousness on the Lord.

ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਜੀ ਵਾਧਾਈ ॥

man chi(n)dhiaa fal paiaa suaamee har naam vajee vaadhaiee ||

ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਦਾ) ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।

I have obtained my Lord and Master, the fruit of my mind's desires. The Lord's Name resounds and resonates.

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਕਾਜੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਧਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਿਗਾਸੀ ॥

har prabh Thaakur kaaj rachaiaa dhan hiradhai naam vigaasee ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ, ਮਾਲਕ-ਹਰੀ ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ) ਵਿਆਹ ਦਾ ਉੱਦਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।

The Lord God, my Lord and Master, blends with His bride, and her heart blossoms forth in the Naam.
