ਜੈਤਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥
jaitasaree mahalaa chauthhaa ||
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਪਾਈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁ ਚਲਤੌ ਭਇਓ ਅਰੂੜਾ ॥
satasa(n)gat saadh paiee vaddabhaagee man chalatau bhio arooRaa ||
ਅਨਹਤ ਧੁਨਿ ਵਾਜਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਵਾਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਧਾਰ ਰਸਿ ਲੀੜਾ ॥੧॥
anahat dhun vaajeh nit vaaje har a(n)mirat dhaar ras leeRaa ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਪਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੂੜਾ ॥
mere man jap raam naam har rooRaa ||
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਲਾਇ ਝਪੀੜਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
merai man tan preet lagaiee satigur har milio lai jhapeeRaa || rahaau ||
ਸਾਕਤ ਬੰਧ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਸੰਚਹਿ ਲਾਇ ਜਕੀੜਾ ॥
saakat ba(n)dh bhe hai maiaa bikh sa(n)cheh lai jakeeRaa ||
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਅਰਥਿ ਖਰਚਿ ਨਹ ਸਾਕਹਿ ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਸਹਹਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਪੀੜਾ ॥੨॥
har kai arath kharach neh saakeh jamakaal saheh sir peeRaa ||2||
ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਅਰਥਿ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਬਹੁ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਾਇ ਮੁਖਿ ਧੂੜਾ ॥
jin har arath sareer lagaiaa gur saadhoo bahu saradhaa lai mukh dhooRaa ||
ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਗਾ ਮਨਿ ਗੂੜਾ ॥੩॥
halat palat har sobhaa paaveh har ra(n)g lagaa man gooRaa ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਜਨ ਸਾਧੂ ਹਮ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕਾ ਕੀੜਾ ॥
har har mel mel jan saadhoo ham saadh janaa kaa keeRaa ||
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗੀ ਪਗ ਸਾਧ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਪਾਖਾਣੁ ਹਰਿਓ ਮਨੁ ਮੂੜਾ ॥੪॥੬॥
jan naanak preet lagee pag saadh gur mil saadhoo paakhaan hario man mooRaa ||4||6||
English Translation
Jaitsree, Fourth Mehla:
In the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I found the Holy, by great good fortune; my restless mind has been quieted.
The unstruck melody ever vibrates and resounds; I have taken in the sublime essence of the Lord's Ambrosial Nectar, showering down. ||1||
O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, the beauteous Lord.
The True Guru has drenched my mind and body with the Love of the Lord, who has met me and lovingly embraced me. ||Pause||
The faithless cynics are bound and gagged in the chains of Maya; they are actively engaged, gathering in the poisonous wealth.
They cannot spend this in harmony with the Lord, and so they must endure the pain which the Messenger of Death inflicts upon their heads. ||2||
The Holy Guru has dedicated His Being to the Lord's service; with great devotion, apply the dust of His feet to your face.
In this world and the next, you shall receive the Lord's honor, and your mind shall be imbued with the permanent color of the Lord's Love. ||3||
O Lord, Har, Har, please unite me with the Holy; compared to these Holy people, I am just a worm.
Servant Nanak has enshrined love for the feet of the Holy Guru; meeting with this Holy One, my foolish, stone-like mind has blossomed forth in lush profusion. ||4||6||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਜੈਤਸਰੀ ਚੌਥੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਮਨ ਟਿਕ ਗਿਆ
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਰੌ ਨਾਲ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਦਾ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ (ਪੀ ਪੀ ਕੇ) ਉਹ ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਸੋਹਣੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਸਦਾ) ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ, ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੱਫੀ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਝੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਹ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਲਾ ਕੇ (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਾਇਆ) ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ
। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਖ਼ਰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ, (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹ) ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਸਹਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੜੀ ਸਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਭਾ ਖੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੂੜ੍ਹਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ, ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਮਾਣਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ ।
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਭਿੱਜ ਮਨ ਹਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੬।
