ਜੈਤਸਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤਾ ਕੀ
jaitasaree baanee bhagataa kee
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ikOankaar satigur prasaadh ||
ਨਾਥ ਕਛੂਅ ਨ ਜਾਨਉ ॥
naath kachhooa na jaanau ||
ਮਨੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੈ ਹਾਥਿ ਬਿਕਾਨਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man maiaa kai haath bikaanau ||1|| rahaau ||
ਤੁਮ ਕਹੀਅਤ ਹੌ ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
tum kaheeat hau jagat gur suaamee ||
ਹਮ ਕਹੀਅਤ ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਕੇ ਕਾਮੀ ॥੧॥
ham kaheeat kalijug ke kaamee ||1||
ਇਨ ਪੰਚਨ ਮੇਰੋ ਮਨੁ ਜੁ ਬਿਗਾਰਿਓ ॥
ein pa(n)chan mero manu ju bigaario ||
ਪਲੁ ਪਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਪਾਰਿਓ ॥੨॥
pal pal har jee te a(n)tar paario ||2||
ਜਤ ਦੇਖਉ ਤਤ ਦੁਖ ਕੀ ਰਾਸੀ ॥
jat dhekhau tat dhukh kee raasee ||
ਅਜੌਂ ਨ ਪਤੵਾਇ ਨਿਗਮ ਭਏ ਸਾਖੀ ॥੩॥
ajaua(n) na patayeai nigam bhe saakhee ||3||
ਗੋਤਮ ਨਾਰਿ ਉਮਾਪਤਿ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ॥ ਸੀਸੁ ਧਰਨਿ ਸਹਸ ਭਗ ਗਾਂਮੀ ॥੪॥
gotam naar umaapat savaiaamee || sees dharan sahas bhag gaa(n)mee ||4||
ਇਨ ਦੂਤਨ ਖਲੁ ਬਧੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਰਿਓ ॥
ein dhootan khal badh kar maario ||
ਬਡੋ ਨਿਲਾਜੁ ਅਜਹੂ ਨਹੀ ਹਾਰਿਓ ॥੫॥
baddo nilaaj ajahoo nahee haario ||5||
ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਕਹਾ ਕੈਸੇ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
keh ravidhaas kahaa kaise keejai ||
ਬਿਨੁ ਰਘੁਨਾਥ ਸਰਨਿ ਕਾ ਕੀ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੬॥੧॥
bin raghunaath saran kaa kee leejai ||6||1||
English Translation
Jaitsree, The Word Of The Devotees:
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
O my Lord and Master, I know nothing.
My mind has sold out, and is in Maya's hands. ||1||Pause||
You are called the Lord and Master, the Guru of the World.
I am called a lustful being of the Dark Age of Kali Yuga. ||1||
The five vices have corrupted my mind.
Moment by moment, they lead me further away from the Lord. ||2||
Wherever I look, I see loads of pain and suffering.
I do not have faith, even though the Vedas bear witness to the Lord. ||3||
Shiva cut off Brahma's head, and Gautam's wife and the Lord Indra mated; Brahma's head got stuck to Shiva's hand, and Indra came to bear the marks of a thousand female organs. ||4||
These demons have fooled, bound and destroyed me.
I am very shameless - even now, I am not tired of them. ||5||
Says Ravi Daas, what am I to do now?
Without the Sanctuary of the Lord's Protection, who else's should I seek? ||6||1||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਜੈਤਸਰੀ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵੇਚ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਇਸ ਅੱਗੇ (ਹੁਣ) ਕੋਈ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਨਾਥ! ਤੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਖਸਮ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ
ਅਸੀ ਕਲਜੁਗੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਈ ਜੀਵ ਹਾਂ (ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ) ।੧।
(ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਇਤਨਾ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ
ਕਿ ਹਰ ਦਮ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿੱਥ ਪਵਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ) ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਧਰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉੱਧਰ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਸਿ-ਪੂੰਜੀ ਬਣੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ
ਇਹ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਭੀ (ਕਿ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਟਾ ਹੈ ਦੁੱਖ) ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ, ਵੇਦਾਦਿਕ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕ ਭੀ (ਸਾਖੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਇਹੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ।੩।
ਗੌਤਮ ਦੀ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਅਹੱਲਿਆ, ਪਾਰਵਤੀ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਸ਼ਿਵ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਭਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਵਾਲਾ ਇੰਦਰ—(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ) ।੪।
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮੂਰਖ (ਮਨ) ਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ
ਪਰ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਬੜਾ ਬੇ-ਸ਼ਰਮ ਹੈ, ਅਜੇ ਭੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਮੁੜਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ।੫।
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ—ਹੋਰ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜਾਵਾਂ? ਹੋਰ ਕੀਹ ਕਰਾਂ?
(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ।੬।੧।
