ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ (Gurmukhi)
ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੩ ਦੁਪਦੇ
soraTh mahalaa panjavaa ghar teejaa dhupadhe
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ikOankaar satigur prasaadh ||
ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਸਰੋਵਰਿ ਨਾਤੇ ॥
raamadhaas sarovar naate ||
ਸਭਿ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਮਾਤੇ ॥
sabh utare paap kamaate ||
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਕਰਿ ਇਸਨਾਨਾ ॥
niramal hoe kar isanaanaa ||
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਕੀਨੇ ਦਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
gur poorai keene dhaanaa ||1||
ਸਭਿ ਕੁਸਲ ਖੇਮ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
sabh kusal khem prabh dhaare ||
ਸਹੀ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਸਭਿ ਥੋਕ ਉਬਾਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sahee salaamat sabh thok ubaare gur kaa sabadh veechaare || rahaau ||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਲੁ ਲਾਥੀ ॥
saadhasa(n)g mal laathee ||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਭਇਓ ਸਾਥੀ ॥
paarabraham bhio saathee ||
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
naanak naam dhiaaiaa ||
ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੧॥੬੫॥
aadh purakh prabh paiaa ||2||1||65||
English Translation
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehla, Third House, Dho-Padhay:
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
Bathing in the nectar tank of Ram Das,
all sins are erased.
One becomes immaculately pure, taking this cleansing bath.
The Perfect Guru has bestowed this gift. ||1||
God has blessed all with peace and pleasure.
Everything is safe and sound, as we contemplate the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||Pause||
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, filth is washed off.
The Supreme Lord God has become our friend and helper.
Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
He has found God, the Primal Being. ||2||1||65||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਸੋਰਠਿ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਦੁਪਦੇ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਲ) ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ (ਪਿਛਲੇ) ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਨਾਲ) ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਪਰ ਇਹ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।੧।
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਸਾਰੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਚ-ਮੰਡਲ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਢਹੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਤੋਂ) ਠੀਕ-ਠਾਕ ਬਚਾ ਲਏ,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕਿਆਂ) ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ
(ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ-ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ,
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ।੨।੧।੬੫।
