ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤਾ ਕੀ ॥
bilaaval baanee bhagataa kee ||
ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀਉ ਕੀ
kabeer jeeau kee
ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ikOankaar sat naam karataa purakh gur prasaadh ||
ਐਸੋ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਪੇਖਨਾ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਪਈਹੈ ਰੇ ॥
aaiso ih sa(n)saar pekhanaa rahan na kouoo pieehai re ||
ਸੂਧੇ ਸੂਧੇ ਰੇਗਿ ਚਲਹੁ ਤੁਮ ਨਤਰ ਕੁਧਕਾ ਦਿਵਈਹੈ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
soodhe soodhe reg chalahu tum natar kudhakaa dhivieehai re ||1|| rahaau ||
ਬਾਰੇ ਬੂਢੇ ਤਰੁਨੇ ਭਈਆ ਸਭਹੂ ਜਮੁ ਲੈ ਜਈਹੈ ਰੇ ॥
baare boodde tarune bhieeaa sabhahoo jam lai jieehai re ||
ਮਾਨਸੁ ਬਪੁਰਾ ਮੂਸਾ ਕੀਨੋ ਮੀਚੁ ਬਿਲਈਆ ਖਈਹੈ ਰੇ ॥੧॥
maanas bapuraa moosaa keeno meech bilieeaa khieehai re ||1||
ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ਅਰੁ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਮਨਈ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਕਾਨੀ ਰੇ ॥
dhanava(n)taa ar niradhan maniee taa kee kachhoo na kaanee re ||
ਰਾਜਾ ਪਰਜਾ ਸਮ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਰੈ ਐਸੋ ਕਾਲੁ ਬਡਾਨੀ ਰੇ ॥੨॥
raajaa parajaa sam kar maarai aaiso kaal baddaanee re ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਏ ਤਿਨੑ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਨਿਰਾਰੀ ਰੇ ॥
har ke sevak jo har bhaae tin(h) kee kathaa niraaree re ||
ਆਵਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਹਿ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਮਰਤੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੰਗਾਰੀ ਰੇ ॥੩॥
aaveh na jaeh na kabahoo marate paarabraham sa(n)gaaree re ||3||
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਲਛਿਮੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਇਹੈ ਤਜਹੁ ਜੀਅ ਜਾਨੀ ਰੇ ॥
putr kalatr lachhimee maiaa ihai tajahu jeea jaanee re ||
ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਮਿਲਿਹੈ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਨੀ ਰੇ ॥੪॥੧॥

English Translation
Bilaaval, The Word Of The Devotees.
Of Kabeer Jee:
One Universal Creator God. Truth Is The Name. Creative Being Personified By Guru's Grace:
This world is a drama; no one can remain here.
Walk the straight path; otherwise, you will be pushed around. ||1||Pause||
The children, the young and the old, O Siblings of Destiny, will be taken away by the Messenger of Death.
The Lord has made the poor man a mouse, and the cat of Death is eating him up. ||1||
It gives no special consideration to either the rich or the poor.
The king and his subjects are equally killed; such is the power of Death. ||2||
Those who are pleasing to the Lord are the servants of the Lord; their story is unique and singular.
They do not come and go, and they never die; they remain with the Supreme Lord God. ||3||
Know this in your soul, that by renouncing your children, spouse, wealth and property
- says Kabeer, listen, O Saints - you shall be united with the Lord of the Universe. ||4||1||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਬਿਲਾਵਲ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ। ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਰਚਣਹਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਜੀਵ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ ।
ਸੋ, ਤੂੰ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਰਾਹੇ ਤੁਰੀਂ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਬੁਰਾ ਧੱਕਾ ਵੱਜਣ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਸ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਦਾ ਬਹਿ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ, ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪੈਣ ਦਾ ਬੜਾ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ।੧।
ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਬਾਲਕ ਹੋਵੇ, ਬੁੱਢਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਚਾਹੇ ਜੁਆਨ ਹੋਵੇ, ਮੌਤ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਤਾਂ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਚੂਹਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ-ਰੂਪ ਬਿੱਲਾ ਖਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।
ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੰਗਾਲ, ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਲਿਹਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।
ਮੌਤ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੇ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ-ਸਮਾਨ ਮਾਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਮੌਤ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਐਸੀ ਡਾਢੀ ।੩।
ਪਰ ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਹਾਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਨਿਰਾਲੀ ਹੈ ।
ਉਹ ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਹਨ ਨਾਹ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ, ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੰਗੀ-ਸਾਥੀ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ।
ਸੋ, ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ! ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਵਹੁਟੀ, ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ—ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ ।
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ—ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੋਹ ਛੱਡਿਆਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ।੪।੧।
