ਗੋਂਡ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
go(n)dd mahalaa panjavaa ||
ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰ ਬੋਹਿਥ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ॥
bhav saagar bohith har charan ||
ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਰਣ ॥
simarat naam naahee fir maran ||
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਮਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਮ ਪੰਥ ॥
har gun ramat naahee jam pa(n)th ||
ਮਹਾ ਬੀਚਾਰ ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤਹ ਮੰਥ ॥੧॥
mahaa beechaar pa(n)ch dhooteh ma(n)th ||1||
ਤਉ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਨਾਥ ॥
tau saranaiee pooran naath ||
ਜੰਤ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉ ਦੀਜਹਿ ਹਾਥ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ja(n)t apane kau dheejeh haath ||1|| rahaau ||
ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣ ॥
simirat saasatr bedh puraan ||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਖਿਆਣ ॥
paarabraham kaa kareh vakhiaan ||
ਜੋਗੀ ਜਤੀ ਬੈਸਨੋ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ॥
jogee jatee baisano raamadhaas ||
ਮਿਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ ॥੨॥
mit naahee braham abinaas ||2||
ਕਰਣ ਪਲਾਹ ਕਰਹਿ ਸਿਵ ਦੇਵ ॥
karan palaeh kareh siv dhev ||
ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥
til nahee boojheh alakh abhev ||
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ॥
prem bhagat jis aape dhei ||
ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਕੇਈ ਕੇਇ ॥੩॥
jag meh virale keiee kei ||3||
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਗੁਣੁ ਕਿਛਹੂ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
moh niragun gun kichhahoo naeh ||
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
sarab nidhaan teree dhirasaTee maeh ||
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦੀਨੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵ ॥
naanak dheen jaachai teree sev ||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀਜੈ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੧੭॥
kar kirapaa dheejai gurdhev ||4||15||17||
English Translation
Gond, Fifth Mehla:
The Lord's Feet are the boat to cross over the terrifying world-ocean.
Meditating in remembrance on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, he does not die again.
Chanting the Glorious Praises of the Lord, he does not have to walk on the Path of Death.
Contemplating the Supreme Lord, the five demons are conquered. ||1||
I have entered Your Sanctuary, O Perfect Lord and Master.
Please give Your hand to Your creatures. ||1||Pause||
The Simritees, Shaastras, Vedas and Puraanas
expound upon the Supreme Lord God.
The Yogis, celibates, Vaishnavs and followers of Ram Das
cannot find the limits of the Eternal Lord God. ||2||
Shiva and the gods lament and moan,
but they do not understand even a tiny bit of the unseen and unknown Lord.
One whom the Lord Himself blesses with loving devotional worship,
is very rare in this world. ||3||
I am worthless, with absolutely no virtue at all;
all treasures are in Your Glance of Grace.
Nanak, the meek, desires only to serve You.
Please be merciful, and grant him this blessing, O Divine Guru. ||4||15||17||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਗੋਂਡ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹਨ ।
ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ।
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਜਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਫੜਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ।
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ) ਵਿਚਾਰ ਜੋ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਹੈ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਪੰਜ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।੧।
ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ ।
(ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਫੜਾ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ, ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ, ਵੇਦ, ਪੁਰਾਣ (ਆਦਿਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕ)
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
ਜੋਗੀ ਜਤੀ, ਵੈਸ਼ਨਵ ਸਾਧੂ, (ਨਿਰਤ-ਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ) ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਭਗਤ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ।੨।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ (ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਲੱਭਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਤਰਲੇ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦੇ ।
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਸਹੀ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ,
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ।੩।
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਹਾਂ ਨਾ-ਚੀਜ਼ । ਭਲਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਾਂ?) ਮੈਂ ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਣ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਗੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ । (ਹਾਂ,)
ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਨ (ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ) ।
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਦੇਵ! (ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ) ਗਰੀਬ ਨਾਨਕ (ਤੈਥੋਂ) ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ।
ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਖ਼ੈਰ ਪਾ ।੪।੧੫।੧੭।
