ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ (Gurmukhi)
ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੫ ॥
salok mahalaa panjavaa ||
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤੈ ਤਨਿ ਉਡੈ ਖੇਹ ॥
har naam na simareh saadhasa(n)g tai tan uddai kheh ||
ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਿਸੈ ਨ ਜਾਣਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਫਿਟੁ ਅਲੂਣੀ ਦੇਹ ॥੧॥
jin keetee tisai na jaaniee naanak fiT aloonee dheh ||1||
English Translation
Shalok, Fifth Mehla:
That body, which does not remember the Lord's Name in meditation in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, shall be reduced to dust.
Cursed and insipid is that body, O Nanak, which does not know the One who created it. ||1||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਸਲੋਕ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਉਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਿੱਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ।੧।
