ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ (Gurmukhi)
ਸਲੋਕੁ ॥
salok ||
ਭਾਵੀ ਉਦੋਤ ਕਰਣੰ ਹਰਿ ਰਮਣੰ ਸੰਜੋਗ ਪੂਰਨਹ ॥
bhaavee udhot karana(n) har ramana(n) sa(n)jog pooraneh ||
ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਰਸ ਭੇਟੰ ਸਫਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਮਹੂਰਤਹ ॥੧॥
gopaal dharas bheTa(n) safal naanak so mahoorateh ||1||
ਕੀਮ ਨ ਸਕਾ ਪਾਇ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਤੀ ਹੂ ਬਾਹਰੇ ॥
keem na sakaa pai sukh mitee hoo baahare ||
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾ ਵੇਲੜੀ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਲੰਦੜੋ ਮਾ ਪਿਰੀ ॥੨॥
naanak saa velaRee paravaan jit mila(n)dhaRo maa piree ||2||
English Translation
SHALOK:
One’s destiny is activated, when one chants the Lord’s Name, through perfect good fortune. Fruitful is that moment, O Nanak, when one obtains the Blessed Vision of the Darshan of the Lord of the Universe. || 1 ||
Its value cannot be estimated; it brings peace beyond measure. O Nanak, that time alone is approved, when my Beloved meets with me. || 2 ||
PAUREE: Tell me, what is that time, when I shall find God? Blessed and auspicious is that moment, and that destiny, when I shall find the Lord of the Universe. Meditating on the Lord, twenty-four hours a day, my mind’s desires are fulfilled. By great good fortune, I have found the Society of the Saints; I bow and touch their feet. My mind thirsts for the Blessed Vision of the Lord’s Darshan; Nanak is a sacrifice to Him. || 15 ||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਘੜੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੰਜੋਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੱਥੇ ਦੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਲੇਖ ਉੱਘੜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।
ਇਤਨੇ ਅਮਿਣਵੇਂ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ, (ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਸੁਲੱਖਣੀ ਘੜੀ ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ।੨।
ਰੱਬ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਵੇਲਾ ਛੇਤੀ ਆਵੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾਂ । ਉਹ ਮੁਹੂਰਤ, ਉਹ ਮਿਲਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਂਈ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਚਾਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਾਂ । ਚੰਗੀ ਕਿਸਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਨਿਊਂ ਨਿਊਂ ਕੇ (ਸਤ ਸੰਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰੀਂ ਲੱਗਾਂ । ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਤੇ੍ਰਹ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ) ਮੈਂ (ਸਤਸੰਗੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ) ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।੧੫।
