ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ (Gurmukhi)
ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
aasaa mahalaa panjavaa ||
ਸਾਈ ਅਲਖੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਭੋਰੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ॥
saiee alakh apaar bhoree man vasai ||
ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਮਾਇ ਮੈਡਾ ਹਭੁ ਨਸੈ ॥੧॥
dhookh dharadh rog mai maiddaa habh nasai ||1||
ਹਉ ਵੰਞਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਸਾਈ ਆਪਣੇ ॥
hau va(n)n(j)aa kurabaan saiee aapane ||
ਹੋਵੈ ਅਨਦੁ ਘਣਾ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਜਾਪਣੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
hovai anadh ghanaa man tan jaapane ||1|| rahaau ||
ਬਿੰਦਕ ਗਾਲਿੑ ਸੁਣੀ ਸਚੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਧਣੀ ॥
bi(n)dhak gaali(h) sunee sache tis dhanee ||
ਸੂਖੀ ਹੂੰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ਮਾਇ ਨ ਕੀਮ ਗਣੀ ॥੨॥
sookhee hoo(n) sukh pai mai na keem ganee ||2||
ਨੈਣ ਪਸੰਦੋ ਸੋਇ ਪੇਖਿ ਮੁਸਤਾਕ ਭਈ ॥
nain pasa(n)dho soi pekh musataak bhiee ||
ਮੈ ਨਿਰਗੁਣਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇ ਆਪਿ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਲਈ ॥੩॥
mai niragun meree mai aap laR lai liee ||3||
ਬੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਹਭਾ ਹੂੰ ਬਾਹਰਾ ॥
bedh kateb sa(n)saar habhaa hoo(n) baaharaa ||
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਦਿਸੈ ਜਾਹਰਾ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੦੫॥
naanak kaa paatisaahu dhisai jaaharaa ||4||3||105||
English Translation
AASAA, FIFTH MEHL:
If the Invisible and Infinite Lord dwells within my mind, even for a moment, then all my pains, troubles, and diseases vanish. || 1 ||
I am a sacrifice to my Lord Master. Meditating on Him, a great joy wells up within my mind and body. || 1 || Pause ||
I have heard only a little bit of news about the True Lord Master. I have obtained the peace of all peace, O my mother; I cannot estimate its worth. || 2 ||
He is so beautiful to my eyes; beholding Him, I have been bewitched. I am worthless, O my mother; He Himself has attached me to the hem of His robe. || 3 ||
He is beyond the world of the Vedas, the Koran and the Bible. The Supreme King of Nanak is immanent and manifest. || 4 || 3 || 105 ||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਅਲੱਖ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰਤਾ ਕੁ ਸਮੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਭੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੁੱਖ-ਦਰਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਰੋਗ ਸਭ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਤਨੀ ਹੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਤਨਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਸੁਖ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਦੀ।੨।
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ! ਮੇਰਾ ਉਹ ਸਾਈਂ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ । ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ, ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਲਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।੩।
(ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਿਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ) ਇਸ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਭੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ, ਵੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਆਦਿਕ ਕੋਈ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ । (ਉਂਞ, ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਮੈਂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।੪।੩।੧੦੫।
