ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੩ ॥
salok mahalaa teejaa ||
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੁਕਮੇ ਆਵਦਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੁਕਮੇ ਜਾਇ ॥
sabh kichh hukame aavadhaa sabh kichh hukame jai ||
ਜੇ ਕੋ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਆਪਹੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਅੰਧਾ ਅੰਧੁ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
je ko moorakh aapahu jaanai a(n)dhaa a(n)dh kamai ||
ਨਾਨਕ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਕੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੁਝੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਰਜਾਇ ॥੧॥

ਸੋ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥
so jogee jugat so paae jis no gurmukh naam paraapat hoi ||
ਤਿਸੁ ਜੋਗੀ ਕੀ ਨਗਰੀ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਵਸੈ ਭੇਖੀ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
tis jogee kee nagaree sabh ko vasai bhekhee jog na hoi ||
ਨਾਨਕ ਐਸਾ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਕੋ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਘਟਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥

ਆਪੇ ਜੰਤ ਉਪਾਇਅਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
aape ja(n)t upaian aape aadhaar ||
ਆਪੇ ਸੂਖਮੁ ਭਾਲੀਐ ਆਪੇ ਪਾਸਾਰੁ ॥
aape sookham bhaaleeaai aape paasaar ||
ਆਪਿ ਇਕਾਤੀ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਵਡ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ॥
aap ikaatee hoi rahai aape vadd paravaar ||
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਾ ਰੇਨਾਰੁ ॥
naanak ma(n)gai dhaan har sa(n)taa renaar ||
ਹੋਰੁ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਝਈ ਤੂ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੨੧॥੧॥ ਸੁਧੁ ॥

English Translation
SHALOK, THIRD MEHL:
Everything comes by His Command, and everything goes by His Command. If some fool believes that he does so himself, he is blind, and acts in blindness. O Nanak, one who becomes Gurmukh understands the Hukam of the Lord’s Command; the Lord grants His Grace. || 1 ||
THIRD MEHL: He alone is a Yogi, and he alone finds the Way, who as Gurmukh, has found the Naam. In the body-village of that Yogi is everything; Yoga is not obtained by outward show and religious robes. O Nanak, such a Yogi is very rare; the Lord is revealed in the heart. || 2 ||
PAUREE: He Himself created the creatures, and He Himself supports them. He Himself is seen to be subtle, and He Himself is obvious. He Himself remains a solitary hermit, and He Himself has a huge family. Nanak begs for the gift of the dust of the feet of the Saints of the Lord. I cannot see any other Giver; You alone are the Giver, Lord. || 21 ||

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮੂਰਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ (ਕੁਝ ਵੱਡਾ) ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਅੰਨਿ੍ਹਆਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ (ਜੋਗ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਈ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਜੋਗੀ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ (ਰੂਪ) ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇਕ (ਗੁਣ) ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਨਿਰੇ) ਭੇਖ ਨਾਲ (ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ) ਮੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਆਸਰਾ (ਬਣਦਾ) ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹਰੀ ਸੂਖਮ ਰੂਪ ਵੇਖੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ) ਪਰਪੰਚ (ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ; ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ (ਰੂਪ) ਦਾਨ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦਾਤਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ।੨੧।
