ਪੀਪਾ ॥
peepaa ||
ਕਾਯਉ ਦੇਵਾ ਕਾਇਅਉ ਦੇਵਲ ਕਾਇਅਉ ਜੰਗਮ ਜਾਤੀ ॥
kaayau dhevaa kaiaau dheval kaiaau ja(n)gam jaatee ||
ਕਾਇਅਉ ਧੂਪ ਦੀਪ ਨਈਬੇਦਾ ਕਾਇਅਉ ਪੂਜਉ ਪਾਤੀ ॥੧॥
kaiaau dhoop dheep nieebedhaa kaiaau poojau paatee ||1||
ਕਾਇਆ ਬਹੁ ਖੰਡ ਖੋਜਤੇ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
kaiaa bahu kha(n)dd khojate nav nidh paiee ||
ਨਾ ਕਛੁ ਆਇਬੋ ਨਾ ਕਛੁ ਜਾਇਬੋ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
naa kachh aaibo naa kachh jaibo raam kee dhuhaiee ||1|| rahaau ||
ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡੇ ਸੋਈ ਪਿੰਡੇ ਜੋ ਖੋਜੈ ਸੋ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
jo brahama(n)dde soiee pi(n)dde jo khojai so paavai ||
ਪੀਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਣਵੈ ਪਰਮ ਤਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਲਖਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੩॥
peepaa pranavai param tat hai satigur hoi lakhaavai ||2||3||
English Translation
Peepaa:
Within the body, the Divine Lord is embodied. The body is the temple, the place of pilgrimage, and the pilgrim.
Within the body are incense, lamps and offerings. Within the body are the flower offerings. ||1||
I searched throughout many realms, but I found the nine treasures within the body.
Nothing comes, and nothing goes; I pray to the Lord for Mercy. ||1||Pause||
The One who pervades the Universe also dwells in the body; whoever seeks Him, finds Him there.
Peepaa prays, the Lord is the supreme essence; He reveals Himself through the True Guru. ||2||3||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਪੀਪਾ।
(ਸੋ) ਕਾਇਆਂ (ਦੀ ਖੋਜ) ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਰਤੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ), ਸਰੀਰ (ਦੀ ਖੋਜ) ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈ (ਜਿਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਆਰਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ), ਕਾਇਆਂ (ਦੀ ਖੋਜ) ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਜੰਗਮ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਤ੍ਰੂ ਲਈ (ਤੀਰਥ ਦੀ ਜਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਹੈ) ।
ਸਰੀਰ (ਦੀ ਖੋਜ) ਹੀ (ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਲਈ) ਧੂਪ ਦੀਪ ਤੇ ਨੈਵੇਦ ਹੈ, ਕਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ (ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਹੀ, ਮੈਂ ਮਾਨੋ, ਪੱਤਰ ਭੇਟ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਟ ਦੇਵ ਦੀ) ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ।੧।
ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਜ ਕੇ (ਆਖ਼ਰ ਆਪਣੇ) ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪ ਨੌ ਨਿਧੀ ਲੱਭ ਲਈ ਹੈ
(ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਾਇਆਂ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ) ਦਾ ਹੀ ਤੇਜ-ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ) ਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਮੇਰਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਮਿਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ) ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਰਚਣਹਾਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਵਿਚ (ਵਿਆਪਕ) ਹੈ ਉਹੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ) ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਪੀਪਾ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ— ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ (ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ) ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।੩।
