ਨਟ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥
naT mahalaa chauthhaa ||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗੇ ॥
mere man jap har har raam ra(n)ge ||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੀ ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਓ ਜਨ ਪਗਿ ਲਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har har kirapaa karee jagadheesur har dhiaaio jan pag lage ||1|| rahaau ||
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਭੂਲ ਚੂਕ ਹਮ ਅਬ ਆਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨਗੇ ॥
janam janam ke bhool chook ham ab aae prabh saranage ||
ਤੁਮ ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਵਡ ਪਾਪਗੇ ॥੧॥
tum saranaagat pratipaalak suaamee ham raakhahu vadd paapage ||1||
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਕੋ ਨ ਉਧਰਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਏ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵਗੇ ॥
tumaree sa(n)gat har ko ko na udhario prabh ke'ee patit pavage ||
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਛੀਪਾ ਦੁਸਟਾਰਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਪੈਜ ਜਨਗੇ ॥੨॥
gun gaavat chheepaa dhusaTaario prabh raakhee paij janage ||2||
ਜੋ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਤਿਨਗੇ ॥
jo tumare gun gaaveh suaamee hau bal bal bal tinage ||
ਭਵਨ ਭਵਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਕੀਏ ਜਹ ਧੂਰਿ ਪਰੀ ਜਨ ਪਗੇ ॥੩॥
bhavan bhavan pavitr sabh ke'ee jeh dhoor paree jan page ||3||
ਤੁਮਰੇ ਗੁਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਹਿ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਵਡ ਵਡ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਡਗੇ ॥
tumare gun prabh keh na sakeh ham tum vadd vadd purakh vaddage ||
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਦਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਹਮ ਸੇਵਹ ਤੁਮ ਜਨ ਪਗੇ ॥੪॥੪॥
jan naanak kau dhiaa prabh dhaarahu ham seveh tum jan page ||4||4||
English Translation
Nat, Fourth Mehla:
O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, with love.
When the Lord of the Universe, Har, Har, granted His Grace, then I fell at the feet of the humble, and I meditate on the Lord. ||1||Pause||
Mistaken and confused for so many past lives, I have now come and entered the Sanctuary of God.
O my Lord and Master, You are the Cherisher of those who come to Your Sanctuary. I am such a great sinner - please save me! ||1||
Associating with You, Lord, who would not be saved? Only God sanctifies the sinners.
Naam Dayv, the calico printer, was driven out by the evil villains, as he sang Your Glorious Praises; O God, You protected the honor of Your humble servant. ||2||
Those who sing Your Glorious Praises, O my Lord and Master - I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice to them.
Those houses and homes are sanctified, upon which the dust of the feet of the humble settles. ||3||
I cannot describe Your Glorious Virtues, God; You are the greatest of the great, O Great Primal Lord God.
Please shower Your Mercy upon servant Nanak, God; I serve at the feet of Yor humble servants. ||4||4||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਨਟ ਚੌਥੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ ।
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸੀ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਗ਼ਲਤੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ ।
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੂੰ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਸਾਡੀ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ ।੧।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ, ਉਹੀ (ਪਾਪਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ।
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ (ਨਾਮਦੇਵ) ਛੀਂਬੇ ਨੂੰ (ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ) ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਦੁਰਕਾਰਿਆ, ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖ ਲਈ ।੨।
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਜਿਹੜੇ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ, ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਥਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ।੩।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਹੈਂ, ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ ।੪।੪।
