mahalaa panjavaa ||
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਮਨੁ ਲੀਣਾ ॥
gobi(n)dh gobi(n)dh gobi(n)dh sa(n)g naamadheau man leenaa ||
ਆਢ ਦਾਮ ਕੋ ਛੀਪਰੋ ਹੋਇਓ ਲਾਖੀਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aadd dhaam ko chheeparo hoio laakheenaa ||1|| rahaau ||
ਬੁਨਨਾ ਤਨਨਾ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਬੀਰਾ ॥
bunanaa tananaa tiaag kai preet charan kabeeraa ||
ਨੀਚ ਕੁਲਾ ਜੋਲਾਹਰਾ ਭਇਓ ਗੁਨੀਯ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥੧॥
neech kulaa jolaaharaa bhio guneey gaheeraa ||1||
ਰਵਿਦਾਸੁ ਢੁਵੰਤਾ ਢੋਰ ਨੀਤਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
ravidhaas dduva(n)taa ddor neet tin tiaagee maiaa ||
ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
paragaT hoaa saadhasa(n)g har dharasan paiaa ||2||
ਸੈਨੁ ਨਾਈ ਬੁਤਕਾਰੀਆ ਓਹੁ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਸੁਨਿਆ ॥
sain naiee butakaareeaa oh ghar ghar suniaa ||
ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਸਿਆ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਭਗਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਗਨਿਆ ॥੩॥
hiradhe vasiaa paarabraham bhagataa meh ganiaa ||3||
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਜਾਟਰੋ ਉਠਿ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਗਾ ॥
eeh bidh sun kai jaaTaro uTh bhagatee laagaa ||
ਮਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਖਿ ਗੁਸਾਈਆ ਧੰਨਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ ॥੪॥੨॥

English Translation
FIFTH MEHL:
Naam Dayv’s mind was absorbed into God, Gobind, Gobind, Gobind. The calico-printer, worth half a shell, became worth millions. || 1 || Pause ||
Abandoning weaving and stretching thread, Kabeer enshrined love for the Lord’s lotus feet. A weaver from a lowly family, he became an ocean of excellence. || 1 ||
Ravi Daas, who used to carry dead cows every day, renounced the world of Maya. He became famous in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and obtained the Blessed Vision of the Lord’s Darshan. || 2 ||
Sain, the barber, the village drudge, became famous in each and every house. The Supreme Lord God dwelled in his heart, and he was counted among the devotees. || 3 ||
Hearing this, Dhanna the Jaat applied himself to devotional worship. The Lord of the Universe met him personally; Dhanna was so very blessed. || 4 || 2 ||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
(ਭਗਤ) ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ (ਉਸ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਅੱਧੀ ਕੌਡੀ ਦਾ ਗਰੀਬ ਛੀਂਬਾ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਲਖਪਤੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਨਾਹ ਰਹੀ)।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
(ਕੱਪੜਾ) ਉਣਨ (ਤਾਣਾ) ਤਣਨ (ਦੀ ਲਗਨ) ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਕਬੀਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਨ ਲਾ ਲਈ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤਿ ਦਾ ਗਰੀਬ ਜੁਲਾਹਾ ਸੀ, ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।੧।
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਨਿੱਤ ਮੋਏ ਹੋਏ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਢੋਂਦਾ ਸੀ (ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ) ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦਾ ਮੋਹ) ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉੱਘਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।੨।
ਸੈਣ (ਜਾਤਿ ਦਾ) ਨਾਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੁੱਤੀਆਂ ਕੱਢਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਘਰ ਘਰ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋ ਤੁਰੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵੱਸ ਪਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ।੩।
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਦੀ ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਧੰਨਾ ਜੱਟ ਭੀ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਾਖਿਆਤ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।੪।੨।
