ਆਸਾ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਧੰਨੇ ਜੀ ਕੀ
aasaa baanee bhagat dha(n)ne jee kee
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ikOankaar satigur prasaadh ||
ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਬਹੁ ਜਨਮ ਬਿਲਾਨੇ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਧੀਰੇ ॥
bhramat firat bahu janam bilaane tan man dhan nahee dheere ||
ਲਾਲਚ ਬਿਖੁ ਕਾਮ ਲੁਬਧ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਬਿਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹੀਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
laalach bikh kaam lubadh raataa man bisare prabh heere ||1|| rahaau ||
ਬਿਖੁ ਫਲ ਮੀਠ ਲਗੇ ਮਨ ਬਉਰੇ ਚਾਰ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
bikh fal meeTh lage man baure chaar bichaar na jaaniaa ||
ਗੁਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਢੀ ਅਨ ਭਾਂਤੀ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਫਿਰਿ ਤਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥
gun te preet baddee an bhaa(n)tee janam maran fir taaniaa ||1||
ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਨਹੀ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਜਲਤ ਜਾਲ ਜਮ ਫੰਧ ਪਰੇ ॥
jugat jaan nahee ridhai nivaasee jalat jaal jam fa(n)dh pare ||
ਬਿਖੁ ਫਲ ਸੰਚਿ ਭਰੇ ਮਨ ਐਸੇ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਨ ਬਿਸਰੇ ॥੨॥
bikh fal sa(n)ch bhare man aaise param purakh prabh man bisare ||2||
ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸੁ ਗੁਰਹਿ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਮਨ ਏਕ ਮਏ ॥
giaan praves gureh dhan dheeaa dhiaan maan man ek me ||
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਮਾਨੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਨੇ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭਏ ॥੩॥
prem bhagat maanee sukh jaaniaa tirapat aghaane mukat bhe ||3||
ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ਸਮਾਨੀ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅਛਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਿਆ ॥
jot samai samaanee jaa kai achhalee prabh pahichaaniaa ||
ਧੰਨੈ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਧਰਣੀਧਰੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਸਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥
dha(n)nai dhan paiaa dharaneedhar mil jan sa(n)t samaaniaa ||4||1||
English Translation
AASAA, THE WORD OF DEVOTEE DHANNA JEE:
ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:
I wandered through countless incarnations, but mind, body and wealth never remain stable. Attached to, and stained by the poisons of sexual desire and greed, the mind has forgotten the jewel of the Lord. || 1 || Pause ||
The poisonous fruit seems sweet to the demented mind, which does not know the difference between good and evil. Turning away from virtue, his love for other things increases, and he weaves again the web of birth and death. || 1 ||
He does not know the way to the Lord, who dwells within his heart; burning in the trap, he is caught by the noose of death. Gathering the poisonous fruits, he fills his mind with them, and he forgets God, the Supreme Being, from his mind. || 2 ||
The Guru has given the wealth of spiritual wisdom; practicing meditation, the mind becomes one with Him. Embracing loving devotional worship for the Lord, I have come to know peace; satisfied and satiated, I have been liberated. || 3 ||
One who is filled with the Divine Light, recognizes the undeceivable Lord God. Dhanna has obtained the Lord, the Sustainer of the World, as his wealth; meeting the humble Saints, he merges in the Lord. || 4 || 1 ||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
(ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਭਟਕਦਿਆਂ ਕਈ ਜਨਮ ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਧਨ ਭੀ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ । ਲੋਭੀ ਜੀਵ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ-ਰੂਪ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿਚ, ਕਾਮ-ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਸਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਕਮਲੇ ਮਨ! ਇਹ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ-ਰੂਪ ਫਲ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਫੁਰਦੀ; ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਹੱਟ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਤਾਣਾ ਤਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।੧।
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਜੁਗਤ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੱਕੀ ਨਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ; ਤਿ੍ਰਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਦੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਲ, ਜਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਾਹੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਹਨ । ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ-ਰੂਪ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਂਭਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸਾਂਭਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਿਆ।੨।
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼-ਰੂਪ ਧਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ-ਮਿੱਕ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ; ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣ ਗਈ, ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੱਜ ਗਿਆ, ਤੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।੩।
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਜੋਤਿ ਟਿਕ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਛਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ ।ਮੈਂ ਧੰਨੇ ਨੇ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪ ਧਨ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ; ਮੈਂ ਧੰਨਾ ਭੀ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।੪।੧।
