ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
goojaree mahalaa panjavaa ||
ਤੂੰ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਸਰਨਿ ਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਸੁਖ ਰਾਇ ॥
too(n) samarath saran ko dhaataa dhukh bha(n)jan sukh rai ||
ਜਾਹਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟੇ ਭੈ ਭਰਮਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਗੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗਾਇ ॥੧॥
jaeh kales miTe bhai bharamaa niramal gun prabh gai ||1||
ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਠਾਉ ॥
govi(n)dh tujh bin avar na Thaau ||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਪੀ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਨਾਉ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kar kirapaa paarabraham suaamee japee tumaaraa naau || rahaau ||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਿ ਲਗੇ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨੀ ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
satigur sev lage har charanee vaddai bhaag liv laagee ||
ਕਵਲ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ਭਏ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥੨॥
kaval pragaas bhe saadhasa(n)ge dhuramat budh tiaagee ||2||
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਦੀਨ ਦੈਆਲਾ ॥
aaTh pahar har ke gun gaavai simarai dheen dhaiaalaa ||
ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਭ ਉਧਰੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸਗਲ ਜੰਜਾਲਾ ॥੩॥
aap tarai sa(n)gat sabh udharai binase sagal ja(n)jaalaa ||3||
ਚਰਣ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਥਿ ॥
charan adhaar teraa prabh suaamee ot pot prabh saath ||
ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਹਾਥ ॥੪॥੨॥੩੨॥
saran pario naanak prabh tumaree dhe raakhio har haath ||4||2||32||
English Translation
GUJRI, FIFTH MEHL:
You are the Almighty Lord, the Giver of Sanctuary, the Destroyer of pain, the King of happiness. Troubles depart, and fear and doubt are dispelled, singing the Glorious Praises of the Immaculate Lord God. || 1 ||
O Lord of the Universe, without You, there is no other place. Show Mercy to me, O Supreme Lord Master, that I may chant Your Name. || 1 || Pause ||
Serving the True Guru, I am attached to the Lord’s Lotus Feet; by great good fortune, I have embraced love for Him. My heart lotus blossoms forth in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; I have renounced evil-mindedness and intellectualism. || 2 ||
One who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, twenty-four hours a day, and remembers the Lord in meditation, who is Kind to the poor, saves himself, and redeems all his generations; all of his bonds are released. || 3 ||
I take the Support of Your Feet, O God, O Lord and Master; you are with me through and through, God. Nanak has entered Your Sanctuary, God; giving him His hand, the Lord has protected him. || 4 || 2 || 32 ||
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ (Punjabi Explanation)
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਏ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੇਰੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਭਰਮ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੧।
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ! ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਸਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੑਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਕੌਲ ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਖੋਟੀ ਮਤਿ ਵਾਲੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਤਿਆਗ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੨।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾੳਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਾਥ ਭੀ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾਇਕ-ਬੰਧਨ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੩।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆ ਪਿਆ, ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ॥੪॥੨॥੩੨॥
